Brice Harkness -believed to be first fireman to die in Belfast Blitz--08/04/1941.
He is commemorated in Westminster Abbey--his grave has been located in his home town of Cookstown-Co. Tyrone.
Would he be entitled to CWGC headstone??

    Hello Wesley
He will be down as a civilian casualty and would not have a CWGC standard war dead headstone hence he is on the civilian roll of honour and no place of burial only the reporting authority.Casualty Details
    His headstone would be private.
I have come across AFS/NFS with headstones non war dead as in post 6 CWGC Headstone Shapes but they do not show up on the searchable CWGC database although cwgc do keep records of their location.
I do believe cwgc would not provide a non war dead headstone
You could try contacting them with his story it doesnt hurt to do that
Does he currently have a headstone

    Regards

Okay , then contact them and correct them I`m sure they would appreciate it I`m just providing a pointer to the page. Likewise a pointer to a memorial book, I`ve not checked but if your man isnt listed you may want to contact them and submit his details

Are you saying he is on a burial register without a headstone on the plot?
