    Ik ben altijd goed gezind
Doe dit ook op andere forums om een zo breed mogelijk scala te vinden
maar dacht dat er hier niemand was
    Anyway i ll continue
it looks like the barge Aidie and the barge Ethel Everhard are mixed up
    04 Ethel Everard (2).jpg
    04 Ethel Everard (3).jpg 04 Ethel Everard (5).jpg 04 Ethel Everard MG Post (1).jpg
it is not the Aidie who is stranded next the jetty but the Everard
and he must been there a long time
because we see him with sails , with sails in schreds and without mast and maybe possibily the germans made a strongpoint from him (an MG post or observationpost , the obs seems to be not logic because at 100 meters they have the casino which gives a more and better observationpost than this one)
so i ll think MG post)
so here we have a barge without no name and who has stayed also a long time on this spot
i ll call him the X barge
if anybody can provide a name
    please do
    05 Barge X (2).jpg 05 Barge X (4).jpg 05 Barge X (5).jpg
on the spot where barge X was strabnded we have a cemetry of allied soldiers
    malo terminus (2).jpg
and we are gonna see the cars and busses a lot on many pictures

we are trying to examine these pictures to found out which car is where
    like this
we are doing at at other forums
    00.jpg
at least two bedfords with the one piece front windows we think are civilians but we are just started
Is here also a specialist in these cars ?
this is no waste of time comes handy when we have a picture where we see only one car ...

can it be that this is the Aidie ? any proof of that ?
here all the pictures of the cemetery there are at least two in this village (one at the casino but i have not worked on this one yet
    05 War Cemetry (3).jpg
sadly no picture from the beach where we see the sunlight ad

Nice to see you back on the forum, Ben. I suspect that your knowledge will be greater than ours on this aspect. The Germans were so methodical though that there must have been a record somewhere of what was salvaged.

Can anybody help me with FOSSA at her fate

Various photos seem to show her in various angles and positions, then she seems to be upright on the beach and then the last shot she has gone?

    Only details i have are

1940:Salved by German Kriegsmarine and allocated to Port Commandant, Dunkirk

Is there any records or a museum in Dunkirk that would know her fate?

Some more info on Princess LILY
"Princess Lily, commanded by Probationary Temporary Sub-Lieutenant K.E.A. Bayley RNVR, continued to work between Malo-les-Bains and La Panne, until she fouled her propeller and could only go astern. She finally succumbed to engine trouble, forcing her crew to abandon her at 22:00 off La Panne on Friday 31st May. Her crew transferred to the gun boat Mosquito and were delivered back to Dover at 05:00 the following morning"
