2 Middlesex Louvain/Leuven 1940

    Yes I have only 1 he got married in full uniform boxing day 1938 i wish i had more there is also one i found on the internet i am 99% sure its him driving the Bren Gun Carrier coming through a place called la breche on a D. Day like many Veterans he would very rarely talk about his war i have found out more from getting his records from the Mod after his passing two of his brothers also joined the Middlesex Regiment T .H. Eagle was taken prisoner at Dunkirk and at this time i am trying to find more information regards Kevin.

    I am 99% sure my father is the driver of the 2nd Bren Gun carrier

    Well - that would be an exciting coincidence that confirms my assumptions made so far.

    I cannot tell you anything else about the story behind the photograph; other than that is was also developed in Leuven. I have no idea whether it was taken by a local or a BEF soldier.

    Lion, can you please post all of the pages ( privates cont) before & after 6. I've ordered the relevant WD's off Andy. You may have obtained a copy of The Regimental History.

    Kevin, Its not required. The diary dropped through the door.Its just that i had clocked a name on page 6. PRIVATES ( Cont) that rang a bell with my Grandfather's Regiment 2/7 MX.

    I'm currently researching activities for 2 Middlesex at the Dendre and attempting to identify the bridges each company defended, I wonder if the WDs for May 18-19 could be posted. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
