    Found a Then and Now of British troops (possibly of the 3rd Division) move inland from Queen White Beach at Sword Beach.

    Definitely not possibly, can see triangle Div insignia in photo

    Is that the same house on the two sets of then and now photos? Looks like they've done a modification to the first floor corner balcony between 1944 and recently.

    Thanks Owen. I parked on that corner on 5th June this year so friend and I could wander down to the beach. I wish I'd known at the time!

    My Late Father L .A Eagle 6203959 Served in the 2nd battalion the middlesex regiment from 1937 until 1946 i belive this is my father driving the carrier i have seen this picture before he was at Dunkirk also he was flown home from Bremen at the end of the campaign in a Dakota with hi injuries i believe his brother also served in the same regiment Clifford Victor Eagle
