Hi All,

on WO361/145 i found some notes about convoy T.A.5:

"T.A. 5 SS RODI, SS SHUNTIEN escorted by HMS HEYTHROP, HMS SALVIA sailed Tobruk 1530/23rd dec 1941, then join HMS HOTSPUR and HMS HASTY...."

On 25th dec 41 only SS RODI, HMS HEYTHROP, HMS HOTSPUR and HMS HASTY arrived at unkown hour at Alexandria.

On Arnold Hague convoy database there are no more usefull informations and SS RODI is not present.

I like know which was the task of convoy and which was the RODI's cargo (POWs? how many?).

Thanks in advance for any help

Enzus

Dear Enzus,

I would be most interested in anything you unearth.

I have the below

RODI – unknown event (Seedies)

13 March 1942 Gazette Issue 35488, Supplement 1207, published 17 March 1942

Captain Leonard Alfred Williams - Commendation – when Master

Cheers

Mike
