There are like tons of other ww2 video games out there. One that looks good is www.redorchestragame.com

It has to be one of the best wwii games for pc when it comes out. It is so realistic...diffrent parts of the tank have more/less armor, if you jump or crouch to much you get tired, if you load a full magazine on an mg it gets heavy and you can't move as fast. It even has the green tracers that the russians used. I would bow down and kiss the ground for joy if this game came out for xbox. But It's only for pc :(

War is hell, but war is also mystery and terror and. In truth war is also beauty. You stare out at tracer rounds unwinding through the dark. The fluid symmetries of troops on the move. The sheets of metal-fire down from a gunship, the illumination rounds, It's astonishing. You hate it,yes, but your eyes do not. Any battle or bombing raid has absolute moral indifference- a powerful beauty. and a true war story will tell the truth about this, though the truth is ugly

I don't really have time to play games much anymore. Most of the ones you listed I know little to nothing about.

I occasionally play Steel Panthers, always against the IA.

I used to play AH games, such as Squad Leader, Panzer Leader, Panzer Blitz, Fortress Europa.

Non-WWII games I also liked Wooden Ships/Iron Men, Acquire, Starship Troopers and Outdoor Survival. I have Diplomacy but have NEVER played it. I got the game about the time I finished college and never had the time to play plus I moved away from the people I would have played it with.

I would add Day of Defeat: Source to that list too. Even though it's an online game, it's really great!

I mentioned Vanguard because of the sound effects and manouverability make it, IMHO, the best in the MoH series so far, although I do agree about the lack of levels.

I still think day of Defeat is the best WW2 shooter there is even though I'm only playing the 1.3 version. I'm addicted to capturing those flags. lol.

I've been wanting to have a go of that Hells Highway for a while now but don't have a PS3. Does anybody know if the PC version is any good?

I also like the sound effects. I am not sure if it is the best MOH game so far, I like MOH European Assault, the Russian levels are the best. Although there is a problem with MOHEA the Mosin Nagant is not very powerful, it take at least 2 or three shots to kill a German.

I would say IL-2 Sturmovik. In the poll COD was my favorite, though I wished they made the game a wee bit longer. It was over in a flash just like COD4, but the gameplay was excellent.

Frontline was the first time I played a game where I had no idea and just staggered around on the beach, with all the noise etc. It stunned me for a while until I woked out what to do and where to go. I would not even attempt to say how those guys felt when they hit the beaches on D-Day. It just floored me.
I ahve played some of the other games and they are good also (except for some of the swearing) but none had the effect on me that Frontline did

Great game. Many a times I've tried to do that level and make it all the way up to the bunkers without getting hit. Never made it yet.

How some of them made it in real life is amazing to me.
