Anyone play this anymore? I'm thinking about picking it up and wanted some opinions.

I still play and there are a lot of servers running it. Popular WW2 mods include Forgotten Hope, Experience WW2 and Battlegroup42. Most however have stopped producing new stuff for BF42 and have moved on to the Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2 engines.

Used to play it quite a bit but now I stick to Battlefield 2 all the time. Gameplay is far better now and the squad paly and VOIP facility is brilliant!

Talk about resurrecting an old thread.

Does anyone play this?

I've been playing Battlefield 2 quite a bit lately and have started thinking about buying the 1942 version.

Anyone got any comments on the game play and possible comparisons to BF2?

Cheers,
marcus
